i give you a big big big big advice;p
when you make a sprite or something press SAVE AS and save as .PNG not .JPG ok and btw they look good

No the shading is not very good. Make less shades, but don't make it from really dark to really light. Make it light and a little darker.

but still a good improvement keep trying and put lots of details like in the hand or on the stomach and the feet make it detailed and it would be great
